Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo signed a peace agreement mediated by the US on Friday, potentially putting an end to decades of fierce fighting that dates back to the 1994 Rwanda genocide. Kigali has sent thousands of troops across the border to support the M23 rebel group against the Kinshasa government.
