Crude oil prices fell around 7% on Monday, after Iran said it had launched a missile attack on a US base in Qatar. Investors appear to take the retaliatory action as being limited, following days of uncertainty over whether Tehran would close the Strait of Hormuz. Andy Konwinski, computer scientist and co-founder of Databricks and Perpelexity, announced on Monday that his personal company, Laude, is forming a new AI research institute backed with a $100 million pledge of his own money.
