Amazon Prime Day 2025 has arrived, and for the first time, the annual two-day shopping event is running for a whopping four days, from Tuesday, July 8, through Friday, July 11, 2025. This gives shoppers more time to save on everything from durable luggage and tech accessories to home goods, beauty products, and shoes.

A longer sale means more chances to decide what purchases you want to commit to—this summer sale typically brings with it Amazon’s steepest discounts of the year across all major categories, including electronics, camping gear, clothing essentials, comfortable shoes, premium beauty products, and more, so there’s a lot to choose from. And while shoppers won’t be as rushed as last year, don’t delay on big ticket items; tech products in particular tend to go fast, as do some premium beauty steals.

Whether you’ve got a wish list ready or are new to the retail giant’s Black Friday–like deals, we’ve put together a quick rundown of everything you need to know to make the most of the summer 2025 Amazon Prime Day. We’ve also gathered some of the best Amazon deals to shop now and top-selling items from last year’s Prime Day to consider adding to your travel gear haul.

In case you’re not familiar with Amazon’s mega-sale, let’s get you up to speed: Amazon Prime Day is an annual savings event in which shoppers can find thousands of deals across all major categories. It’s usually a two-day event in July, but this year Amazon is extending it to four days.

For the past few years, Amazon has offered a similar sale in October, giving eager shoppers another chance to save ahead of Black Friday. Electronics and home goods tend to be the most popular items during these events—and amount to the biggest savings—but we typically also see great deals on clothing and shoes, luggage, beauty products, outdoor gear, and family travel essentials.

Amazon Prime Day began on Tuesday, July 8, and runs through Friday, July 11. The best deals tend to sell out before the sale ends, so if you see something you really want on sale, don’t hesitate to add it to your cart.

Do I have to be a member to participate?

    AccordionItemContainerButton

Yes, you do have to be an Amazon Prime member to take advantage of these deals. Membership costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year (college students get a discounted rate), but you can sign up for a free 30-day trial here to try it out without committing to a full year. If you do keep your Prime membership account, you’ll have access to same-day, one-day, and two-day shipping on millions of products; two-hour grocery delivery via Whole Foods; Prime’s Try Before You Buy program; and more.

What sales can I shop during Prime Day?

    AccordionItemContainerButton

During Prime Day, you’ll find a variety of can’t-miss sales: Lightning Deals, which only run for a few hours; Deals of the Day, which run for one specific day; and Best Deals, which extend beyond the two-day sale. Shoppers will find deals on Amazon devices, as well as discounts across all categories, including luggage, clothing and shoes, tech accessories, outdoor gear, beauty products, home goods, and more. There are also discounts on big ticket items that travelers love, like noise-canceling headphones, e-readers, wearable tech, suitcase sets, and backpacks.

What are some of the best deals so far?

This summer’s Prime Day deals have arrived in full force, and as usual, discounts on tech items are plentiful, whether you’re looking for noise-canceling headphones, a new fitness tracker, or a portable charger.

We’re also seeing steep discounts on Dyson hair tools, like the mega-popular AirWrap (20% off), Travelpro luggage and Baggallini bags, and packing cubes, like this set from Bagail (30% off) or these compressive ones from OlarHike (34% off).

Other deals catching our eye: this six-output portable charger (37% off), Loops earplugs (a favorite of Traveler editor Jamie Spain, 39% off), and this Osprey travel backpack (26% off).
