Housed in a restored brick building, this downtown Cleveland gem embodies what the area is renowned for: revitalized industrial buildings filled with modern decor, updated amenities, and vibrant businesses. Spend the day walking the trails at Cuyahoga Valley, just a 25-minute drive away from your cozy, stylish room, then get ready for a fun night. Enjoy a bit of theater at Playhouse Square, Cleveland's theater district (one of the best in the country, and one of the largest outside of New York), or grab a bite to eat and a specialty cocktail at one of the buzzy nightlife spots just steps from your front door.

It’s fair to say that Ohio has a bit of a mixed reputation. While I, in my admittedly biased opinion, believe there are many reasons to visit this state, one undeniable draw is Cuyahoga Valley, Ohio’s only national park.

Home to waterfalls, wetlands, forests, valleys, and picture-perfect vistas, there’s a little something for every type of outdoor adventurer in this midwestern haven. And when it comes to picking the perfect place to bed down for the night, the options are just as varied—and beautiful—as the landscapes. Whether you’re interested in mixing a little city with your country and staying at a hip hotel in downtown Cleveland, or want to fully immerse yourself in the great outdoors with some glamping, there are so many exceptional rentals, inns, and hotels in Cuyahoga Valley National Park to choose from.

As a long-time Clevelander who lived a short 20-minute drive from this national park for close to two decades, I have hundreds of memories over the years of hiking and biking along the trails, gazing out at the waterfalls, snapping pictures of the rolling hills, and enjoying a bit of fresh air with family and friends. Spectacular in all seasons, this often-overlooked park is just as enjoyable to hike through in the snow (which I’ve done many times) as in the summer sunshine. Trust me, it’s worth a visit—and you’ve come to the right spot to find the best place to stay in and around Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
