In Kenya, violence has erupted once again. At least 11 people have been killed in protests, the latest in a wave of anti-government rallies that began last year. Demonstrations marked the 35th anniversary of the historic Saba Saba protests of 7th of July 1990 which launched Kenya’s push for multi-party democracy. Police tried to pre-empt the protests by sealing off central Nairobi.
