13 Best Airbnbs in Porto, for Excellent Wine, Architecture, and Views

Elegant duplex in Foz do Douro

Following renovations in 2023, this early 20th-century townhouse has been given a new lease of life in the form of sophisticated apartments, and the result is two floors of wonderfully cohesive binaries. On the first, vintage flair ripples through the teal-tiled bathrooms and kitchen, where you’ll spot a retro kettle on the counter, as well as all other essential cooking amenities. Autumnal prints on bedroom walls complement the oak floorboards and furniture, with Juliet balconies peeping through the white-shuttered windows. Move upstairs for another kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom, although this time, the theme is cool modernity. Find matte black sinks and LEDs in the kitchen and bathroom, and a plush king-size bed opposite a large smart TV. The shared on-site facilities are worth a mention too, with access to both the well-equipped gym and gorgeous saltwater pool included with your stay.

    Sleeps: 6
Price: From around $412 per night, with a two-night minimum stay

Porto is a place brimming with creative energy, meandering riverbanks, and ever-flowing bottles of sweet Port wine—not to mention a plethora of lovely Airbnbs. With the spotlight often on Lisbon, this quieter Portuguese spot flies under the radar as a favorable European city break option, but travelers are catching the wave of its delightful offerings. Scavenger hunts for eclectic murals swirled amongst red-roofed clusters and tasty samples of fresh seafood in the emerging restaurant scene are just some of the things to do in Porto, enticing new visitors with an allure that extends further than just couples and families.

No matter the size or occasion, it’s vital you pick a comfortable base, and where better for truly sinking your teeth into Porto’s charm than one of its many Airbnbs. Old meets new in the offering of homestays, from original 19th-century architecture to swish, minimalist designs, but each promises a special place to share with loved ones. For your next visit, we’ve rounded up some of the loveliest Airbnbs in Porto below.

We’ve vetted these listings based on Superhost status, ratings, amenities, location, previous guest reviews, and decor.
